Abstract Publication: Heart BMJ June 2023

In June, our partners at The University of Sheffield presented some of the recent scientific work at the British Cardiovascular Society's Annual conference, and were honored to have the research abstract published in Heart BMJ's online journal as well.

One of the most fascinating results is that Histology and MicroCT of the IFPx sensor in the animal model showed neovascularisation of the perforated capsule with a central fluid pocket in communication with the systemic vasculature. In this work, the team also continued to validate that IFP (interstitial fluid pressure), as measured from the perforated fluid pocket, is closely associated with LVEDP, mPAP and CVP.
